2025/2026 Avalanche Volleyball Club Tryouts

Tryouts will be held at Vanderbilt Schools over TWO days. Athletes must attend both days of tryouts unless they have communicated with the AVC staff prior to tryouts.

We will have a pre-tryout zoom call to discuss the season and answer any questions at 7 pm on Tuesday, October 21st. This is not mandary, just to help parents and athletes out if you're unsure about AVC or Club Volleyball in general. Winter Season Tryouts

- Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th

- Time of tryouts will depend on age group

- AAU Age can be different from your athletes actual age - please use this link to ensure you're signing up for the correct age group. We do not offer 15U or 17U so your athlete would try out for the higher age group closest to their AAU Age. https://application.aausports.org/sbl/calculator/agecalculator.asp

16U
Saturday 12:30 pm - 3 pm
Sunday 11 am - 1 pm

18U
Saturday 3:30 pm - 6 pm
Sunday 1 pm - 3pm

Athletes will need to decide what team(s) they want to tryout for. Options are Regional and State Level teams. If your athlete trys out for a State Team and does not make it, they are still considered for a Regional Team. Please see Team Breakdowns on our website at avalanchevolleyball.com to assist in deciding. Example schedules for State Teams have been posted to assist atheltes in their decisions.

- A signed copy of the Code of Conduct found under the Information Tab on the website will be required at tryouts for every athlete

- Athletes must sign up for their correct age group

- $40 non-refundable Tryout fee (not including taxes and fees)

- Tryout fee covers a t-shirt to wear during tryouts

- Tryout fee covers AAU membership if athlete is selected for an AVC team

- Within 48 hours after tryouts are complete, you will receive an email with your TEAM PLACEMENT

- If chosen for a team, you will have 24 hrs (from the time the email was sent) to ACCEPT or DECLINE your placement if chosen for a team. CUTS WILL BE NECESSARY

- Any athlete that is not chosen for a team will be offered to join a monthly training camp to still grow their skills.

Athletes from younger age groups may be asked to attend an older age group tryout after their initial tryout without an additional tryout fee.

Complete payment of club dues are required by the first practice. If dues are not COMPLETELY PAID by the first tournament, the athlete will not be eligible to play in any tournament until the club dues are submitted for payment.
