About the event

How To Weave Meditation Into Daily Life
A Golden Lotus Retreat

“By the practice of meditation, you will find that you are carrying within your heart a portable paradise.”
~Paramahansa Yogananda

We invite you to this special retreat that will focus on how to weave meditation into daily life. Based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, this retreat will focus on how to implement a meditation routine in the various types of schedules and lifestyles we have, how to carry the aftereffects of meditation into activity, and how the thread of our communion with the Divine weaves through meditation and activity alike. This retreat is designed for both new meditators and veteran practitioners, gathered into a devotional and concentrated silence in this sacred land of Song of the Morning.

Yogic teachings will be reviewed, chanting will be practiced to awaken devotion and deepen concentration, and meditation will be guided for greater depth. Be prepared to sit in silent meditation for at least one hour. If this seems intimidating, this retreat might not be for you—but if you feel an inner calling to join, have faith!—you just might be surprised by the grace flowing from the Divine and from the gathered souls on this sacred land. There will be ample time in Nature and for personal reflection and quiet.

We are pleased to welcome our longtime friend, Naren K. Schreiner, as teacher for this meditation retreat. He offers more than 25 years experience in meditation and chanting in Paramahansa Yogananda’s Kriya Yoga tradition.

The retreat fee is $150, which helps sustain these programs far into the future. This fee will be included automatically when you register for your lodging, which also covers meals. Dormitory-style lodging is available for those on a budget, and a sliding scale is offered for those in need. Simply contact our office for sliding scale options or partial work-trade opportunities
