Please join us in celebrating the life of Alexander Dane Lawinger (Alex), born December 15, 2000, and passed away on June 28, 2025.
We invite family, friends and loved ones to come together on Saturday, August 9th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 8th Day Venue in Vandalia, Illinois to honor Alex and the love, laughter, and memories he brought into our lives.
Finger foods will be provided, along with tea, lemonade, and water.
We kindly ask Alex’s friends and loved ones to consider writing a letter to his son, Oliver. You can share a story, a memory, or simply talk about who Alex was to you. These letters will be collected and placed in a binder for Oliver to read when he’s older—so he can come to know his dad through the eyes and hearts of those who loved him most.
There will also be an open microphone for anyone who would like to share a story or memory about Alex during the event.
Let’s come together to honor a life that meant so much to so many.
