Why We Walk:
This year marks a huge milestone for VOKRA – 25 years of saving lives, reuniting families, and giving thousands of vulnerable cats and kittens a second chance. But while we celebrate this anniversary, we’re also facing one of the most difficult years in our history.
With the rising cost of vet care, medical emergencies, and skyrocketing operational expenses, the financial strain on our rescue has never been heavier. Our commitment to never euthanize for space and to provide the best care possible means we often take in the most at-risk, injured, or neglected cats—and they need us now more than ever.
Tough economic times are hitting animal rescues hard. But we believe in the power of community—and in the kindness of people like you.
Our Mission This Year
Walk for the Kitties 2025 is our biggest and most ambitious fundraiser yet. With a goal to raise $250,000 and engage 400 participants, your involvement means everything.
