Vancouver Mysteries presents Murder is a Drag Chapter 2: Wake the Dead

Murder is a Drag is back in November with the second chapter in the series. Interact with the suspects, solve a puzzle, collect clues and help our detective solve the murder! Don't miss this one-of-a-kind Murder Mystery experience only available in Vancouver – a musical murder mystery show with clues, puzzles, prizes and drag performances!

Can you solve the murder? Participation is optional - some guests will be offered roles in the show but you can also opt to just sit back and enjoy the drama and hilarity as the mystery unfolds.

About the Show

In Chapter 2: Wake the Dead, you’ve gathered to celebrate the life of a recently deceased millionaire (please wear black!) so you can expect some drama: a widow, the ex wife, the spoiled son and the business manager are there as guests. Also on the guest list: a murderer! 

Each of the three chapters in the Murder is a Drag series is a standalone show with new suspects and a new murderer. Chapter One: Dinner Date With Death is set at Tony’s Place, a show lounge in East Van. Chapter Two: Wake the Dead is set at the funeral of a local millionaire Shawn Essy. Chapter Three: Rhinestones are Forever is set at a wedding. 

Murder is a Drag shows are always guaranteed to be campy, fun and fast-paced with a runtime of 90 minutes with two intermissions. Plan to get there early if you hope to be one of the lucky guests who will be offered a part in the show (doors will not open before 7PM). Guests can also choose to sit back and just watch while all of the drama unfolds around them, participation is always optional. Of course, since this is a Vancouver Mysteries experience, there are puzzles for guests to solve and clues to collect. Every guest also has an opportunity to guess the identity of the killer and each show ends with prizes and a meet and greet with the cast.

The fun begins when the doors open at 7PM - the bar will be open and a DJ will be there to set the mood with mysterious tunes. Experience Hosts will also be there to greet you and answer any questions

Tickets include: a seat for the performance (general admission), puzzles to solve and the chance to win prizes. 

Late arrivals may not be seated together - seating is first come first serve. 

If your booking is for at least 4 tickets and you forward your booking confirmation to info@vancouvermysteries with your seating preferences we may be able to reserve seats for you (first come, first serve). Let us know if you prefer the front, middle or back of the room and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Reserved seats are only held until 7:30PM.  

Drinks will also be available for purchase at the bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

Note: this is NOT a dinner show and there is no kitchen or snacks at the venue.

Looking for dinner options? Our partner restaurant Stock & Supply is an 8 minute walk from this venue. Show your Murder is a Drag booking confirmation when you arrive to save 15% on their regular menu (alcohol and happy hour not included). They also have a happy hour that runs from 9PM 'til late for after the show. There is a limited seating capacity and hours may vary so please check ahead of time (reservations are highly recommended).

KW Studios is an accessible venue. Folks in need of an elevator can access one through the lobby entrance. Accessible bathrooms are available downstairs. KW events are both auditory and visual. Sound can be loud, but earplugs can be provided free of charge. Lighting is generally lower but can be adjusted and raised to accommodate people who need brighter venues.
