On Thursday, November 6th in Vancouver, the South African Film Festival (SAFF) is excited to host an in-person screening of The Showerhead. In addition to this wonderful screening, which will be followed by a Q&A with Zapiro and film director, Craig Tanner, we hope you can join us for our gala which includes:
- wine and appetizers
- a silent wine auction
Our event will be emceed by award-winning South African-born Canadian actress, Kandyse McClure, recognized for her acclaimed roles in Battlestar Galactica and Netflix’s Virgin River.
Proceeds from this event are in support of Education without Borders.
There is an option to only attend the film screening as well.

The Showerhead, directed by Craig Tanner, examines the work of cartoonist Zapiro from his period as an anti-apartheid struggle-artist to his enduring role as a progressive commentator and freedom- of-expression champion who has stood his ground against powerful politician Jacob Zuma.
