This intensive Workshop is designed to give runners a unique, high-impact self-defense system. We combine the explosive striking and mobility of powerful movement-based French Combatives Tactical System
The goal is simple: to transform your running into the ultimate escape strategy by teaching you the decisive actions needed to create critical distance and leverage your greatest weapon your speed.
This session focuses on the three core pillars of Runner's Defense, utilizing principles from both disciplines:
Runners' Awareness & Stance
- The Quick-Check: Rapidly assess a threat and move to the decision stage.
- Mobility: Learn deceptive, circular movement and fast pivoting. This is crucial for evading grabs and changing direction instantly to disrupt an attacker's approach.
- The Ready Stance: Transition seamlessly from a running gait to a stable, mobile defensive position.2. Creating Distance with the Shoe (Savate Striking)
- Targeting for Escape: Master the most practical, low-line kicks (The Chassé) from Savate, designed to be executed with your running shoes. These are aimed at the attacker’s knees and shins to cause immediate pain and stop pursuit.
- Close-Range Power: Learn the essential elbow and hammer strikes (using keys or a phone) to break contact and create space for escape.
The Escape System
- Rapid Breakaway Drills: Practice disengaging from common by using full-body motion and the surprise element of a strike or sweep.
- The Stress Test: Participate in the final Strike, Turn, Sprint simulation, forcing you to deploy your new techniques under controlled fatigue to build unshakable muscle memory.About the French Combatives System
