Same Page Parenting: Book Launch & Signing

Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the launch of Same Page Parenting with local therapist and author, Martina Nova.

This will be a relaxed, welcoming event with a short conversation about the book, time to mingle, light snacks, and a book signing. Whether you’re a parent, expecting a baby, co-parenting, partnered, separated, or simply curious about how to have better conversations about family life, you’re invited.

Same Page Parenting is not another “how many diapers do you need” kind of book. It’s a conversation-starter guide designed to help partners talk about the things that actually shape family life:

• Division of labour
• Outdated gender norms
• Digital-age parenting
• Social justice issues like bullying and privilege
• Postpartum mental health
• Extended family boundaries
• Neurodivergency
• Intimacy Postpartum
• Trauma & it's impact on parenting
• ...and more

Each chapter includes personal stories, why the topic matters, and structured conversation prompts organized by stage: pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, postpartum, toddlerhood, young kids, teens, and beyond, so you have support at every step.

Please note: We kindly ask that books be purchased directly from Upstart & Crow to support the bookstore and this event. That said, purchasing the book is not required to attend. This is meant to be a small, fun, community-oriented evening.

RSVPs are appreciated so we can get a sense of numbers for the space and snacks, but it’s a casual event — come as you are.

Martina Nova is a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in British Columbia and founder of NovaCare Therapy. She specializes in trauma, attachment, ADHD, people-pleasing, and modern parenthood. Martina is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and co-parents move from silent resentment to honest, meaningful conversations. Same Page Parenting was written to give families a practical, thoughtful way to talk about what truly matters before and after kids.
