We’ve heard the call for fun inclusive and healing community gatherings—so we’re answering with Rhythms of Summer our very first outdoor drum circle!
This is a FREE (or pay-what-you-can) family-friendly event open to all ages. While no tickets are required we kindly ask that you RSVP below to help us estimate attendance.
This is a pay-what-you-can event—no one will be turned away. Any donation you choose to make will go directly toward supporting Rhythm of Life Society’s weekly music programs for high school youth. If you’re not in a position to give right now that’s completely okay—we’d still love for you to join us! Our goal is to share our story and raise awareness about the impact of our work.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or seasoned drummer this event is designed to showcase one example of how Rhythm of Life Society delivers rhythm programs that enable stress reduction community building and connection all led by renowned drum circle facilitator Lyle Povah.
No musical experience needed and all drums will be provided but you are absolutely welcome to bring your own. All we really need is your time and energy and feel free to bring your family and friends—kids grandparents and everyone in between are welcome!

120-minute live facilitated drum circle with Djembe style drums and other percussion instruments.

WHAT DONATIONS WILL GO TOWARDS
As a registered charity Rhythm of Life Society has a mission to use music and movement in the form of Drum Circle experiences to ease isolation and loneliness and foster connection. Youth aged 13-18 are a demographic that suffer greatly from this mental health crisis and in September 2025 we are launching a pilot program with a High School in Vancouver to provide a space for healing and connection and mentorship.
Your donation whether big or small will help support young people learn valuable skills to help self regulate their nervous systems and provide them a community space for sharing and healing in a safe and inclusive environment that similar to this fundraiser will be accessible and fun.
