MOVEMENT SERIES: Vortex with Rachel Helten

Join us for “VORTEX | 4D Sound + Dance Jam” at Vancouver's premier spatial sound studio. This bi-weekly immersive workshop merges movement and sound, allowing you to connect with your body's inherent wisdom.

We’ll start with gentle breathwork and guided meditation to awaken our intuition, followed by a sensory-tuning warmup. Participants will explore individually and as a group, responding to the dynamic soundscape of Lobe’s 4DSOUND system.

Guided by an improvised movement score, we’ll be free to interact with sound, moving playfully and intuitively in sync or contrast to the vibrations. In essence, we are free to break the rules and explore from a place of autonomy and uninhibited self-expression.

The session includes an open jam for deeper sound experimentation and concludes with a restorative sound journey. All movers and experience levels are welcome!
