LEE MORGAN LEGACY SUNDAY SEXTET EDITION w. Guest Artist MICHAEL PALAZZOLO

Lee Morgan Legacy is a Vancouver- based
project that presents Lee Morgan's music faithfully and with reverence. While Lee's music was not flute-centric by any stretch, he did include flute in his later recordings and also recorded with flutist Bobby Humphrey on Blue Note. There was also Billy Harper playing flute with Lee on the Televised recording of the show Soul, Lee's last televised performance before he left us.. So I kind of think Lee would have continued with flute had he lived because he started to record with flute later in his career.

This Special Sunday Sextet edition features Julian Borkowski, Cory Weeds and yours truly on the front line, along with a stellar rhythm section of Tilden Webb, Nicholas Bracewell and special guest from South Detroit Michael Palazzolo (Bob James Trio) making his Frankie's debut! This is a Lee Morgan vibe you don't want to miss!
