CACC Vancouver is pleased to welcome newly appointed Australian Consul General and Trade & Investment Officer, Shelley Jackson, on her first official visit to British Columbia.
The current landscape presents both challenges and opportunities for the mining industry in Canada and Australia. Rapid advances in mining technology are reshaping how resources are explored, extracted, and processed, driving greater efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness across the sector. From automation and digitalization to AI-driven exploration and advanced processing methods, these innovations are unlocking new possibilities for miners to stay ahead in a changing global market.
For Canadian and Australian miners—two of the world’s leading producers of minerals, including critical metals essential for technologies like electric vehicles and renewable energy infrastructure—the adoption of mining technology will be central to strengthening supply chains, enhancing productivity, and supporting the energy transition.
Additionally, the global push toward net-zero offers substantial growth prospects, positioning the Canadian and Australian mining industries to capitalize on the rising demand for lithium, cobalt, and other essential minerals.
THIS IS A PRIVATE MEETING, BY INVITATION ONLY.
