A Gathering of Gratitude, Story, and Remembrance

Join us for a heartfelt Day of Remembrance & Community Feast a sacred space to honor our ancestors, loved ones, and those who came before us. This is not a “Thanksgiving,” but a Day of Mourning and Reflection a time to gather in love, community, and healing through shared food and storytelling.
(12:00–1:00 PM – Arrival & Candle Lighting)
- Light a candle in memory of someone who has passed
- Add photos, flowers, pinecones, stones, or written notes
- Take a quiet moment for reflection before the meal
“We begin by welcoming those who came before us — our ancestors, guides, and beloveds whose energy continues to flow through us.”
(1:00–2:00 PM – Community Meal)
- Enjoy a shared potluck-style meal together.
The studio will provide turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Guests are invited to bring sides, salads, desserts, or beverages to share.
(3:00–4:30 PM – Storytelling & Folklore Circle)
After the meal, we will gather in circle to share memories and stories. You are invited to share :
- A memory of an ancestor
-A family or cultural story
-A folk tale or teaching from your lineage
-A funny or heartfelt story that carries meaning
May this gathering be a space of nourishment, remembrance, and connection.
