Hugh Liu, a storyteller and filmmaker, traces his roots back to China. His latest 16mm analogue film, "Bound to No One," made a mark by winning the Leo Award 2024 Best Student Production and being selected for the 27th Vancouver Asian Film Festival. His cinematic work reflects a passion for exploring multicultural themes and developing a unique visual language that captivates audiences with striking aesthetics and a humanistic touch. Currently he is producing and directing a feature documentary film funded by Canada Arts Council.

Sergio Tovar Uribe is a Colombian screenwriter, director, editor, and producer born in Cali. He moved to Canada on a scholarship to study art in Vancouver, where he worked in the local film industry and, in 2024, directed his first short film, Take It Off. Influenced by the therapeutic methodology of "Family Constellations", which he learned from his mother, Sergio uses his films as a medium to create healing spaces where people can feel seen, safe, and understood.He is currently producing his next short film and developing his debut feature film.

Sao Khue is a production design professional from Vietnam, now based in Vancouver, BC. With a passion for storytelling through design, she works across film, music videos, and experimental shoots, creating environments that enhance and support the narrative. Believing that design is integral to the story, Sao Khue approaches each project with a collaborative spirit and attention to detail, always striving to bring the vision to life in a meaningful way.

Kayla Chiu-Linh, a Vietnamese filmmaker based in Vancouver, finds her creative pulse in the slice-of-life genre. With a keen eye for detail, she endeavors to capture the nuanced layers of everyday existence. Life appears as organized chaos, and through her lens, she delicately unravels these threads to craft stories that provide solace to audiences.

Inanna is a multi-disciplinary artist working with analog film, oil paint and media art. After studying film at Simon Fraser University, directing multiple festival playing shorts and producing an indie feature, she focused on the development of analog motion picture film, creating experimental films and installation. She is now doing an MFA at Emily Carr in critical ecological practices - She will be researching the environmental effects of digital and analog film practises while expanding her film development knowledge, using scratch animation techniques, and exploring stories from Seniors with impactful lives.
