Barred Owl Release!

Raptor Rehabilitation is a core pillar of World Bird Sanctuary's mission. Over 13,000 injured and orphaned raptors have been treated in our hospital since our founding in 1977. Our goal is to treat these birds for their injuries and release them back to the wild.

Join us as we celebrate another success story with the release of one of this year's Barred Owl babies! This baby was only a few days old when she came to our hospital after her nest tree fell down. After three months of care, she is all grown up and ready to strike out on her own. Come help see her off to her next stage of life!

Release will take place at the overlook deck at the end of Avian Avenue at 3pm on Saturday July 26th. The release event is included in our regular admission price of $12/car.
