Join us at our Mare Island distillery for Whiskey 101, the first in a five-part Redwood Empire Whiskey University masterclass series designed to deepen your understanding of American whiskey. Hosted by Redwood Empire Whiskey Master Blender, Lauren Patz, this interactive class pulls back the curtain on what truly makes whiskey… whiskey.

From grain selection and production methods to legal standards and blending philosophy, you’ll explore the craft from grain to glass while tasting through our core expressions and select special releases. Whether you’re just beginning your whiskey journey or looking to sharpen your knowledge, this class blends education, storytelling, and guided tasting into a one-of-a-kind distillery experience.

What’s Included:

• Guided distillery tour with a focus on whiskey production (drink in hand, of course)

• A deep dive into Whiskey Standards of Identity and BAM requirements—what legally and practically defines whiskey

• Educational, guided tasting featuring Pipe Dream Bourbon Whiskey, Lost Monarch American Whiskey, Emerald Giant Rye Whiskey and Foggy Burl Single Malt Whiskey
