Join the POP Club at the Vallejo Farmers' Market every Saturday in July for fun, hands-on activities that teach kids about where their food comes from, how it's grown, and why eating fresh is important. Each week brings a new adventure - here's what's coming up:
🍂July 12 - What's in Season
Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall - can you figure out which fruits grow at which times of the year in California? Learn about seasonality and how to eat with the rhythms of the season!
🐝 July 19 - Powerful Pollinators
Learn about some of the most powerful pollinators in our ecosystem - bees! Buzzing bees play an important role in ensuring that plants and produce thrive. Discover just how special bees are with the POP Club!
🌿July 26 - Flavor Explorers
There's a secret ingredient that can change the taste of any fruit, veggie, or dish you are eating - herbs! Try lots of different flavored herbs with the POP Club and see which herbs taste the best with each vegetable!
🌻August 2 - Mystery Plant Parts
Do you know all the different parts of the plants growing around you? What about the parts that you eat? Learn more with the POP Club about all the different parts that support plant growth and how they produce yummy fruits & veggies!
