CHP Hiring Presentation: How to Become a CHP Officer (In-Person or Zoom)

This hybrid presentation is for anyone interested in becoming an officer with the California Highway Patrol. You will learn about the CHP, the various career specializations we offer, our entire hiring process, life at the Academy, the pay/benefits, and much more.

This will be a hybrid presentation; you can come in-person if you want to see and try out the gear we use for patrol, get behind the wheel of our standard patrol vehicle, and ask questions one-on-one with the officers present. The hands-on session will start at 5:30PM PST, followed by the classroom component at 6:30PM PST.

If you prefer to attend virtually, a link will be provided to join us via Zoom during the classroom component of the presentation that will start at 6:30PM PST.

You will be given access to the Zoom link from this website, upon registering. The event will not start until the day & time listed, so set a reminder.

You will learn from CHP Recruitment Officers about what to expect at the PAT, written exam, and receive an overview of the background process, including the documents/information you should start collecting.

By being prepared, you will minimize the common mistakes that could cause your disqualification from the process.

Be ready to take notes and ask questions.
