Hi folks --
The Vallejo Garden Club, a committee at the Vallejo Architectural Heritage Foundation, invites you to submit your pictures to our annual photo contest for our calendar for 2026. This year, a new twist - feel free to add architectural elements to highlight the relationship between homes and gardens!
DEADLINE for photos is Friday October 3rd at 11:45 p.m.
Entry is free.
Nonmembers may submit up to 3 photos.
Members may submit up to 5.
Please submit in JPG format as LARGE files; we want to see what the photo would look like if printed at 8 x 10 inches or larger.
Please submit items as follows:
1 - with your name as you would want the photo credited
2 - location where the photo was taken (should be in Solano county or Vallejo)
3 - the name/description of what you photographed
*** Items that do not have ALL of these elements in the email will not be considered.
Photo MUST be your original work; you retain the right to use the photograph to do what you like, but give us unlimited use of the picture for free, including the right to crop as needed to best fit the calendar.
Please do not include people in the photos. Photos should be of gardens or things you would find in a garden. We encourage you to think about a theme of "Home and Garden." Pictures with both garden and architectural elements are encouraged!
You must be 18 years of age to submit a photo.

** Calendars will be available in late November, early December, printed as small desk top calendars, available for a donation. Proceeds from the donations are then used to support scholarships for book budgets for Master Gardener Program students from Vallejo.
