"Rock the Ridge" features live music by the Preston Benfield Band, a delicious BBQ dinner, and a silent auction—all set against the scenic backdrop of the Grandfather Mountain.

About the Avery Educator Fund:
The Avery County Young Professionals aims to support the education system in our community by launching a grant program specifically for local teachers. The program will provide two grants per year to help teachers enhance their classrooms and support their educational initiatives.
Grant Categories:
1.) New Teacher "Get Started" Grants: Grants will be awarded to a new teachers to help them set up their classroom and purchase necessary supplies and resources.
2.) Classroom Innovation Grants: Grants will be awarded to a teacher with a specific need or project that requires funding. This grant is designed to support innovative teaching methods, special projects, or essential classroom enhancements.
Program Goals:
1.) To empower teachers by providing them with the financial support needed to create effective learning environments.
2.) To encourage innovative and impactful teaching methods in Avery County.
3.) To support the development of future leaders by investing in the education system.
