Ruta de los Molinos de Agua in Lucena del Cid is a scenic riverside trail through the Castellón highlands that winds past a collection of historic hydraulic mills. Spanning around 14 km, this moderate hike follows ancient stone pathways along the Lucena River, passing old mills, masías, orchards and ecologically rich riparian woodland. Along the way, hikers can cool off in crystal-clear pools—such as La Badina, Toll del Salt and Toll de Carlos—while enjoying vibrant wildlife, including butterflies and dragonflies, and glimpses of aquatic species.
