Is your horse showing signs of poor performance, weight loss, girthiness, or changes in behavior? These could be signs of Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS).
Join us on July 15th at our Equine Facility (317 Valdora Road) for our Equine Gastroscope Day — a dedicated day to diagnose stomach ulcers and get your horse on the right track to better gut health.
💰 Cost: $160 — includes sedation, the scope procedure, and a professional opinion with tailored advice, but excludes prescribed medications, stabling, comprehensive examinations. A $60 deposit is required on booking.
🔍 What to expect:
✅ Sedation of your horse
✅ Full gastroscopic examination (a camera is used to view the stomach lining)
✅ Expert diagnosis and treatment plan
✅ Professional advice for ongoing care
📆How to prepare: Your horse must be fasted for a period of no less than 12 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This means no hay, hard feed or grazing during this time. ⏰ Water must be removed 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. 💧Please allow 30-40 minutes after completion of the scope procedure for the sedation to wear off before transporting your horse home. We recommend allowing extra time to load your horse on to your float prior to your designated appointment time. As we all know, sometimes this process doesn't go as smoothly as expected. 🚛
