Join the Mohawk Valley Small Business Development Center, MVCC’s thINCubator, and Mohawk Valley EDGE for this presentation by Walt Peretti, Associate Workers’ Compensation Examiner with the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board. The presentation is targeted towards employers and will discuss the New York State requirements for worker’s compensation and disability with paid family leave requirements. It will explain who is required to have coverage and who is exempt, what happens if a business fails to comply with the laws, how the Office of the Advocate for Business can help, and what a business needs to do to keep the costs of insurance down.
