Description:
Want to know more about renewable energy? Join us for an engaging exploration of renewable energy through a unique hands-on learning experience. You'll learn how different energy sources like wind, solar, and water can generate electricity. You will be able to build models for these energy sources and test out your creations to solve real-world problems. You will also be able to take home some of your created energy models. Our instructors will guide you through foundational concepts in energy conversion, system efficiency, and sustainable development, encouraging creativity and critical thinking every step of the way. Beyond the technical skills, you'll develop teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper appreciation for how engineering innovations can shape our world's energy future.
Age Range: 10 – 14 years old
Participants: 20 (max)
Fee: Thanks to the generous support of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Offshore Wind Training Team (SPOWT²), this camp is free for all participants.
