What Can I Bring?
You can bring almost anything electronic that isn’t an appliance. Please see blow for more information.
Who Can Bring Items?
Residents from any community can drop off items.
How Much Does This Cost?
Doing the right thing shouldn't have a cost. The City of Urbandale is accepting these items free of charge.
If you require a certificate of destruction (legal proof of destruction), we can provide one for $10 per device. However, a
certificate is not generally necessary for home users. You can still rest easy since ALL data-containing devices are securely
wiped or crushed before leaving the facility, regardless of whether you paid for a certificate.
Is this Secure?
Yes! The City of Urbandale has partnered with Electronic Asset Security and they specialize in secure electronics recycling.

Fluorescent Ballasts
High Voltage Industrial Transformers
Anything else with hazardous waste, such as PCBs, Asbestos, Mercury, Gun Powder, or others
