Welcome to a weekend outside of Uppsala!
Join in creating this leftist space centered around anarchist principles. As the clear air in the early morning tells of dawn and the promise of day, this event wants to embody a place for new beginnings and of new possibilities. Be a part of it!
We will cook food, bathe in the lake, relax in each other's company, craft from our creativity, discuss politics and theory, build comradery and togetherness, lose ourselves in dance and create sparks of magic together.
All participants co-create the event and take responsibility to cook, keep things clean as well as creating a caring and welcoming environment for everyone.
Want to hold a workshop or organise another activity? Wonderful! All contributions that are family-friendly are welcome. Contact us if you have an idea, nevermind how big or small.
Spontaneous workshops and activities are more than welcome too.
The event is completely free, sober (no alcohol or intoxicants), freegan (vegan, or not bought) and family friendly. All cooked meals are vegan. Kids are welcome!
You can get here by taking a regional bus from Uppsala central station, ticket price is 39kr. The trip is a bit over one hour and the bus stops just outside the location of the event. Write to us for a detailed description.
Planned activities:
Miniature society:
During the whole event we will have clay and other natural materials available for us to create a miniature society. We'll build it together and discuss the possibilities of a society built on egalitarian values.
Visible mending & textile art workshop:
Give your torn clothes new life and personality by visibly mending them. Or pimp them with some embroidery or a homemade patch. We have all needed materials, but feel free to bring your own.
Prefigurative politics and its possibilities
Through dialogue and exercises, we'll explore how we can live the society we want for tomorrow today, realising visions for the future in the present by performing prefigurative practices, mindsets, and actions. Together, we share our thoughts and perspectives to create possibilities.
Foraging for food:
On Saturday we will have an activity to go out in nature and pick nettles and make soup from them. Other edible plants may be picked as well if we find them.
