Midsommar Prep in Håga: Hike with Us!

With Valborg now behind us, it is time to look forward to the next big Swedish holiday: Midsommar! Midsommar is a celebration of summer and long sunny days. Activities for the day include dancing around a maypole, eating traditional foods, and making flower crowns. As a bit of preparation for Midsommar (and an opportunity to enjoy the local nature here in Uppsala), the International Committee welcomes you to a hike with us Håga!

At 16:00 on May 11th, we will meet at the Ihres väg bus stop near Flogsta and hike together to Håga. Along the way, there will be the opportunity to pick flowers for flower crowns and learn about some of the local nature. In Håga, there will be opportunities to grill if you bring supplies and have fika. You will also be able to assemble flower crowns and maybe even learn a bit more about the upcoming holiday! If you can't meet us right at the beginning of the event, you are also welcome to join along the way. Feel free to message us to find out how far along on our hike we are!

When: May 11th at 16:00 (4:00 pm)
Where: Meet at the Ihres väg bus stop near Flogsta, hike to Håga together
What to Bring:
- Water, as it will likely be hot
- Stuff to grill- this is entirely optional, and up to you to bring. The International Committee will however provide a small amount of fika
