In collaboration with Budohuset in Uppsala, we have the great pleasure of welcoming Monica Vedia, from TaikoMon, to Sweden on 30th-31st of August, 2025.
Monica Vedia is a professional actress of the scenic arts, specialized in dramatic art, dance, gestural theater and improvisation. She has more than 20 years of experience in taiko and is the founder and teacher of the Japanese percussion school TaikoMon since 2017 in Madrid, Spain. She is also the artistic director of TaikoMon performing group and creative leader of educational and inclusive projects through the use of Taiko. Additionally, Monica is a collaborator in international taiko events.
This exciting weekend event features 4 taiko workshops:
#1: Kihon TaikoMon - featuring a sequence of basic rhythms for all levels.
#2: Hachijou - We will learn the basic patterns and a simple song. For all levels.
#3: TaikOn Stage - to improve our body awareness and stage presence. For all levels.
#4: DokoKara - a taiko piece composed by Yuta Kato. Intermediate level.
