Soft is Sacred: Soft Girl Summer is more than an event — it’s a gentle sanctuary where Black women gather to breathe and be. Through the sacred acts of storytelling, floral creation, and emotional release, we give ourselves permission to soften, to feel, and to let go—without apology.

• Creating space for joy, rest, and softness

What to Bring

To help create your own cozy, sacred space, we recommend bringing:

• Your favorite journal (If you don’t have one, Black is Gold journals will be available for purchase on-site )
• A blanket or pillows for extra comfort during our intention circle
• Extra flowers or greenery if you’d like to add to our communal flower arrangement

Come as you are — comfy, cozy, and open to receiving all the softness and goodness this day will offer.

Info: Ease into the experience with a warm welcome and cozy atmosphere. Enjoy complimentary juice (Watermelon Mint Elixir), infused water, and fresh fruit as soft music sets the tone. Take a moment to breathe, be present, and arrive fully.

Info: We’ll gather in a circle—seated on picnic blankets and cushions, surrounded by nature and soft décor. This is our space to reflect, release, and reconnect through guided journal prompts and heartfelt conversation. Let this be a sacred moment for community care and non-judgmental openess.

Info: Through guided journaling, you’ll write down things you’re ready to let go of—fear, shame, anxiety, heartbreak, or unrealistic expectations. Then we’ll gather together to release our notes into biodegradable balloons, sending our burdens to the sky with intention and grace.

Info: In this mindful, hands-on activity, you’ll create a personalized bouquet that reflects how you want to feel. Choose flowers based on their meanings and build a sacred floral arrangement to take home—something soft, beautiful, and deeply yours.

Info: We’ll close together in circle with a guided breathing practice to ground, reflect, and honor what was released and received. Each guest will leave with a final affirmation and a softened heart, ready to carry the softness into their daily lives.
