Hosted by North Canterbury Guinea Pigs in collaboration with the Capital Cavy Club, the show features two major events in one day:

• 🏆 Pedigree Guinea Pig Show – showcasing the very best cavies bred to national standards.
• 🐾 Pet Guinea Pig Show – where family pets take the spotlight for their charm, personality, and cuteness.

Whether you’re a seasoned exhibitor, a first-time participant, or simply a guinea pig fan, this is the perfect opportunity to:

This is a caged show with appointed handlers, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guinea pigs on the day. Exhibitors from all cavy clubs across New Zealand are welcome, with special sections for junior members and pet owners.

With support from Topflite and hosted by North Canterbury Guinea Pigs, the Nationwide Cavy Show is one of the biggest guinea pig events in New Zealand – and one you won’t want to miss!
