Sheep Dog Demonstrations

Demonstrations will occur at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, August 2 and August 3. Each demo will be 35 to 45 minutes long. Dogs will show their particular and unique talents and instincts. While the dogs work the sheep, their trainer will explain the process of training them and demonstrate the many ways they can be used to help farmers move livestock of all kinds. Focus will be on the border collie, as that is the breed that the trainer always worked with, although there are other types of herding dogs. The audience will walk away with an understanding and appreciation of these amazing farm partners.
