She is the giver of visions and mysticism. The is the white goddess that lights up the land with brilliant silver light. She luminates the unconscious to enable you to see what is unseen. She reveals mysteries and shines light on what needs to be released physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She is the Full Moon.
She is the mistress of the ocean tides, as well as the internal waterways within you. The element of water, of which we are mostly made of, ebbs and flows with emotions – as the ocean ebbs and flows.
She guides the deep feminine mysteries of intuition, heightens the messages within your dreams, amplifies healing and deep, deep release. She connects you to the Moon Priestess within you.
She is the symbol of the Mother, round and full with life. She reminds us to live with an open heart, filled with love and compassion. She is sensual, fertile and strong.
It is with this energy we will walk the Labyrinth to connect with the white Goddess and your sacred mystical self. Wear white or light-coloured clothing if possible but not necessary.
A labyrinth is transformative walk which can transmute one state of being to that of another which is of a higher vibration. Unlike a maze it has only one path that leads from the outer edge in a circular way to the centre. It’s an energetic spiritual process that can help you find answers to questions, clear energetic blocks or reconnect to your creativity.
Please keep in mind that we meet on a public beach. We gather to share energy and intention with an open heart. This is a great opportunity to practice being in a high vibration bubble of awareness and leave the outside world behind 🙂
This is a FREE event. Please arrive on time. We gather together to set our intention together before entering the Labyrinth. This is for collective energy as well as to support your own energetic focus. Labyrinths are a spiritual practice. Missing this phase means the walk is simply entertainment.
Directions: Picnic Point Beach. Drive in at the Ulverstone Tennis Club end - Westshore Road via Moore Street. You will pass public toilets to park in front of the children's playground. Enter the beach from the path/walkway near the BBQ.
A labyrinth is a spiritual practice for contemplation, transformation, and inner journeying. Designed to guide individuals toward a centre that symbolizes a deeper self, divine presence, or spiritual truth. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth has a single, continuous path that leads from the outer edge to a central point and back out again, ensuring that one cannot get lost. This unicursal design represents a sacred journey inward, often interpreted as a metaphor for life’s path, the soul’s pilgrimage, or the process of spiritual growth.
Spiritually, walking a labyrinth is seen as a meditative practice that integrates body, mind, and spirit, allowing individuals to quiet their thoughts, release stress, and access deeper states of awareness.
The journey inward is often associated with letting go of ego, burdens, and distractions, a process described in the "Four Rs" Lauren Artress framework:
Remembering (acknowledging blessings), as shown in the ceremony/ritual before entering
Releasing (letting go of what no longer serves), begins on entering and ends at the centre
Receiving (opening to spiritual insight, peace or healing), at the centre
And
Resolving (returning with renewed clarity or purpose). This process is likened to a spiritual rebirth or transformation, where one returns to the outer world changed and renewed, found on the journey from the centre to the end of the labyrinth
How do you recognise or acknowledge Sacred Space when attending a Spiritual gathering or ceremony?
A Labyrinth in its entirety is Sacred Space. Walking across the lines can disrupt the energy that is being harnessed in its construction. Walking through the middle of the circle disrupts its energy.
Listen to the instructions from the facilitator. They will usually have clear directions for before, during and after a ceremony.
If you are unsure how to take part respectfully ask to facilitator ahead of time. You will find they are very happy to set your mind at ease for you to be as comfortable as possible and to receive the most from your experience.
