FR - Les personnes qui vivent hors des normes et attentes de la société recherchent souvent des modèles. Avez-vous aussi attendu l’arrivée d’un héros/une héroïne qui pourrait vous sauver ? A travers des chansons de Christine & The Queens, Indochine, Christina Aguilera, Mylène Farmer, Bonnie Tyler ou Queen, nous partons à la recherche de figures héroïques pour nos communautés queer. En affrontant des épreuves liées à la discrimination et en transcendant ces attaques, nous trouvons aussi du soutien et du réconfort auprès des personnes qui partagent nos expériences. Et si nous étions en fait les héro·ïnes de notre propre histoire ?

EN - People who live outside the norms and expectations of society are often looking for role models. Have you also been waiting for a hero or heroine to come along and save you? Through songs by Blondie, David Bowie, Christina Aguilera, Chappell Roan, Bonnie Tyler or Queen, we go in search of heroic figures for our queer communities. As we face the challenges of discrimination and transcend these attacks, we also find support and comfort in people who share our experiences. And what if we were in fact each the heroes of our own story?

Via nummers van Yasmine, Blondie, Christina Aguilera, Mylène Farmer, Bonnie Tyler en Queen gaan we op zoek naar heldenfiguren voor onze queer gemeenschappen. Terwijl we de uitdagingen van discriminatie aangaan en deze aanvallen te boven komen, vinden we ook steun en troost bij de mensen die onze ervaringen delen. Wat als we uiteindelijk zelf de helden van ons eigen verhaal zouden zijn?
