This years Defensive Pistol Essentials will take place on Sunday October 5, 2025. Note the times and location. We apologize but due to range availability we tried to fit it where it was beneficial for both parties as far as date and time. However we WILL make it worth your time and effort.
Our Defensive Pistol Essentials course covers 80% of the skills you will need in a critical situation to save your life and 100% of steps on how to avoid needing these skills. We will focus on following a multi tiered approach to self defense both inside and outside of your home.
1. Prevention – how to prevent being a target of violent crime
2. Evasion and De-Escalation – How to recognize a potential threat and evade it if possible. If evasion is not an option how to use your brain and voice to de-escalate a potential threat whenever possible.
3. Empty Hand Skill & Less Lethal Options – Depending on your skill set and what you carry you may have other options to consider that will lessen the risk of using deadly force. We highly ADVOCATE for the use of a good OC Spray (Pepper Spray) as part of your everyday carry. We will discuss these options.
4. Last Resort Options – It is now the worst case scenario and using your firearm is the only option you have to save your life how do you do it?

Looking for a new carry gun? We will have the HK CC9, VP9K-A1, VP9F-A1 or the P30 available for you to use during class and see what you think. If your chosen firearm breaks during class you will be able to use an HK to continue in class.
