Tuscaloosa, AL – The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) is proud to announce its 2025 Membership Drive and Community Engagement Event, taking place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the historic Bailey Tabernacle Church in the Rev. Dr. W.C. & Kay Jones Education Building.
This event is an opportunity for the public to connect with the local SCLC chapter, learn more about our mission, and explore the impactful work being done throughout the Tuscaloosa community. Attendees will have the chance to meet members of our leadership team, engage with our committees, and discover meaningful ways to contribute to the work of justice, equity, education, advocacy, and empowerment.

Informational booths on each of our active committees
Presentations from advocacy and community outreach leaders
Opportunities to join and volunteer with various initiatives
Q&A sessions and open discussions on key issues affecting Tuscaloosa County
Refreshments and fellowship with community members
“We’re excited to welcome new members and re-engage with those who have long been a part of our movement,” said Rev. James Williams, Chapter President. “This Membership Drive is about building unity, sharing our vision, and inviting the community to be part of the change we’re working toward every day.”
