East Grinstead Jazz Club is delighted to welcome for the first time Flautist Gareth Lockrane.
One of the UK’s most respected jazz flautists.
Known for his muscular, expressive sound and fiery improvisation, Lockrane’s career spans stage, screen and studio, from recording with legends like Quincy Jones and Louis Cole, to featuring on the soundtracks for King of Thieves, The Laundromat, and Don’t Look Up.
He’s shared stages with some of the most celebrated names in jazz, including Gwilym Simcock, Christine Tobin, Incognito, Bheki Mseleku and Nikki Iles.
Lockrane also runs the Junior Jazz programme at the Royal Academy of Music, where he’s helping shape the next generation of UK talent.
