Sounds of South

Sounds of South, the largest Afro, Latino, and Caribbean festival, returns for its third edition on July 11-12, 2025, at ‘Turun Taiteen Talo’. This year's theme, ‘Cultural spectrum’, celebrates a vibrant blend of traditional and modern music and dance. The festival will feature a street parade on Friday, 11.7.2025, showcasing cultural dances from various countries, followed by a family-friendly event offering educational entertainment that highlights the rich traditional cultures from Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. On Saturday, 12.7.2025, the festival will feature modern culture in the form of music by talented DJs and artists, culminating in an afterparty where attendees can vibe to the rhythm from the South.
