Vivistim Mini-Screenings at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa is proud to invite stroke survivors and caregivers to a free Vivistim® Mini Screening Event on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event will introduce attendees to Vivistim®, an FDA-approved, breakthrough technology designed to help improve arm and hand function in individuals living with chronic stroke upper extremity deficits.

Vivistim works through a unique approach called Paired VNS™ (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) therapy, which gently stimulates the brain during rehabilitation therapy and at-home activities. This stimulation encourages the brain to build and strengthen new neural pathways, helping users achieve daily goals such as dressing, preparing meals, and enjoying recreational activities—even years after their stroke.

Clinical studies show that Vivistim can increase the benefits of conventional rehabilitation by 2–3 times, giving patients a renewed chance at independence and functional recovery. The therapy is intended for chronic ischemic stroke patients with moderate to severe upper limb impairment and has helped many users regain meaningful hand and arm use over time.
