Monday, September 1st is a National Day of Action.
This Labor Day, as we honor the labor movement and the workers who built this country, we’re also here to remind the Trump Administration who really holds the power in America: the Workers—not the Billionaires.
It’s time for the Workers Over Billionaires Protest.
We’re coming together to show that people power is stronger than profit. If we stop, everything stops. We the Workers keep the lights on, the factories running, the mail on time, and the food served hot. And when we’re exploited by billionaires and corrupt MAGA politicians, it’s time to say enough is enough.
Wages have barely moved in decades, while the 1% gets richer every year. Companies blame "inflation" while gouging prices and reporting record profits. Each generation falls further behind—buried in debt, unable to afford a home, watching billionaires buy elections and manipulate markets. We keep waiting for our representatives to stand up for us. They keep standing up for billionaires instead.
So this Labor Day, We the Workers unite—for better wages, stronger labor laws, workplace protections, progressive tax policy, and an end to dark money and Citizens United. We demand that our government represent us, not the ultra-rich.
This protest will also feature guest speakers from local community organizations, as well as megaphones to lead chants and energize the crowd. Come for the protest—stay for the voices fighting on the front lines for justice in our region. The Coffee County Democratic Party is committed adopting techniques that work—from Nashville to Memphis to Murfreesboro—and building a stronger rural movement right here. With your help, we can grow a blue dot in a sea of red, and over time, flip Tennessee.
This Labor Day, September 1st, join us. Let's show them who holds the real power in America. It's Workers Over Billionaires.
