“Pins for a Purpose” Bowlathon –
Join us on Friday, August 1, 6–9 PM at Lucky Strike Bowl (4015 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson) for BNI SoZona’s annual “Pins for a Purpose” Bowl-a-thon, a high-energy charity event rolling strikes and spares to support local nonprofits. This fun, all-ages evening is “Empowering Change, One Strike (or gutterball) at a Time”

You’ll bowl with friends and family in a Rock Star costume (think leather jackets, band tees, wild wigs – anything goes!) for prizes and cheers while helping Differently Abled Entertainment (DAE) and other community charities raise funds. DAE’s mission is to “help marginalized individuals discover artistic empowerment” through inclusive productions.

Theme: Rock Stars! Dress as your favorite rocker or band, from classic legends to modern icons. Costumes, wigs, and rock-themed attire are highly encouraged – there will be prizes for the best looks!
Who’s it for: Everyone! Bowlers of all ages, abilities and experience levels are welcome. (No skill required – just enthusiasm and a cause in your heart.)
Why we Bowl: It’s a fun way to raise money for DAE’s fall theater production and to help create a safer, more accessible space for DAE’s home. DAE is an inclusive community arts group that empowers artists of all abilities

What to Expect: A lively evening of bowling, music and community spirit! There will be music (rock anthems!), friendly competition, photo ops in your rock-star costumes, and raffle prizes. We’ll keep a fundraising scoreboard, so you can see your team’s impact in real time. It’s a heartfelt, rockin’ good time – strike up the fun for a great cause!
How to Participate (Quick Steps)
Get Your Team: Rally friends, family or coworkers to form a bowling team. Don’t have a group? Join the Differently Abled Entertainment team by signing up as an individual bowler and meet new folks who share your passion.
Register/Donate: Sign up and donate at the BetterWorld campaign page. Teams track their fundraising progress, and all donors (even if you can’t bowl) can contribute online. Every contribution moves us closer to our goal.
Bowling Night: Show up in your best rock star attire and Cheer on fellow fundraisers, snap fun photos, and enjoy music and giveaways. Remember – it’s not about perfect rolls, it’s about making a difference together.
