Beyond Jelly: Prickly Pear Cooking and Demonstration

It’s prickly pear fruit season! Join cookbook author Carolyn Niethammer to learn the quick way to juice the fruit. Then we’ll make a few easy recipes that aren’t jelly. We’ll make a savory onion jam perfect for holiday giving and your own meal. We’ll try out and taste some other ways to use the juice. Find inspiration for including prickly pear in your own favorite recipes. Everybody gets to taste!
Note: This workshop occurs towards the end of prickly pear season. We recommend harvesting and freezing prickly pear prior to the workshop to ensure you are able to use the recipes you learn.
