Program Description:
Join Adventures Without Limits, US Fish & Wildlife Services, & Oregon Spinal Cord Injury Connection for a kayak birding tour of the Tualatin River! We will paddle along calm flatwater, around bends, as we meander up and down the Tualatin searching for birds. This event is sponsored and subsidized by US Fish & Wildlife Services, to connect the disabilities community with water access and conservation! The trip is open to the public, inclusive, and accessible to people of all abilities. We specialize in creating a welcome space for a diverse sets of needs.
FAQ:
What is birding? Birding is the observation of birds in their natural habitat as a hobby!
Do I need any special gear or equipment to go birding? Binoculars will be provided by our friends at USFWS. If you have access to a smartphone, downloading the "eBird" and "Merlin" apps will enhance your experience.
Who should sign up for this trip? This trip is intentionally designed and sponsored to support folks who experience disability along with their family and friends, and are interested in getting out on the water and exploring the local fauna of our region.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Inclement weather is in the forecast, should we cancel?
The AWL guide has the sole responsibility to cancel a program due to weather conditions. Certain weather conditions are often unavoidable in Oregon.
What if we don’t get enough participants?
In order to guarantee that the trip will proceed, we must reach the minimum required number of participants at least 7 days in advance. If we do not reach that number by this time, we have the right to cancel the program.
If we need to cancel, how should we notify you?
The short answer is, the fastest and most direct way. An email or phone call as soon as you think you may have to cancel is the best option. Even if you're unsure, shoot us an email. It will be very much appreciated.
What if AWL cancels the program?
If AWL chooses to cancel a trip due to weather, environmental conditions, or otherwise, you will be given a full refund. Please note, our trips require the minimum number of participants listed above to proceed.
What if a participant cancels?
If you need to cancel your spot on a trip, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can open your spot for another paddler. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
I have other concerns or questions about the cancellation and refund policy, who should I contact?
