🌱 Pick our local beans: the "Dadachamame", also called the "King of Edamame" in our fields behind the Shonai Kankobussankan Souvenir Shop & market!
Everyone is welcome — it's a simple activity that anyone can enjoy, whether with family or friends, without any reservation!
What to Bring & Prepare:
👕 Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
🧤 Bring work gloves.
🛍️ Bring a bag or container to carry your freshly harvested edamame.
🧊 If you’ll be traveling a while afterward, a cooler box is recommended.
What You’ll Be Harvesting:
You’ll pick Dadacha-mame, a rare and highly prized variety of edamame grown only in Tsuruoka, Yamagata.
These beans are famous for their rich umami flavor and sweet aroma— a beloved summer delicacy!

Take a bus that goes to Shonai Kankobussankan like this one:

Cross the parking lot to reach the Nunome Community Hall 布目公民館. You'll spot farmers and floating signs there to reach the fields.
