Why Become an Advanced Open Water Diver?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification is your gateway to advancing your skills and extending your dive experiences. It also builds confidence and allows you to explore deeper waters (up to 30 meters/100 feet). Plus, it’s a crucial step to becoming a PADI Pro or a Master Scuba Diver — an elite group of recreational divers who have completed the Advanced Open Water Diver course, the Rescue Diver course and five Specialty Diver courses.
During your Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will:
Complete two Adventure Dives focused on Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation
Choose three additional Adventure Dives based on your interests
Learn new skills to handle different diving conditions
By earning this certification, you unlock new dive sites, gain experience, and prepare for more advanced courses, like Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
