The Promise

Adapted from an old Balinese folktale, The Promise is a captivating and heart-warming story of honesty and integrity. A young girl promises herself to a prince in a moment of playful recklessness. Years later, betrothed to another man, she finds herself questioning whether he promise was binding or not. She sets off on an epic journey to find the answer, meeting a host of violent and selfish rogues along the way. But always, her truthfulness is what sees her through.
