Tom Bowes violin Phillippe Honoré violin Duo Two Fiddles.
Tom Bowes last came to the Society in 2022 with a knockout programme which featured the solo Caprices of Niccolò Paganini - the extreme element of violin virtuosic playing which wowed a sold out concert in Gerrans Church. This time Tom Bowes lbrings friend and colleague Philippe Honoré to play music for duo...not such a frequent area of repertoire performed...so lots of interesting new music to listen to
Tom and Philippe are both masters of their craft (Tom former Guest Concert Master with the London Symphone Orchestra, Philippe, Professor of Violin at The Royal Academy in London) with experience in all fields of music making from concerts to your favourite film scores and will take great delight sharing their passion for music. Their entertaining and insightful introductions to each piece opens doors for newcomers and seasoned listeners alike.
Whether you're a lifelong lover of classical music or a curious first-timer, this is an evening that promises laughter, learning, and truly delightful music.
