About The Event
Perched on a hillside in the northeastern section of the Hudson River Valley, the historic barns and other buildings are surrounded by 123 acres of farm fields, woodlands, a stream and wetlands. The expansive views of an agricultural landscape can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the barns.
The Scottish Barn, German Barn and Corn Crib, which date from the 18th and 19th centuries, have been fully restored by skilled craftsmen. The barns provide an exceptional opportunity to survey the artistry of America’s early agricultural buildings. The Historic Barns of Nipmoose, comprising the Scottish Barn, German Barn and Corn Crib, are extraordinary examples of early timber framed structures.
Enjoy a private tour and a glass of wine while you tour these historic grounds and explore the history of agriculture in Rensselaer County!
The Hart Cluett Museum Drinking History series brings people together to explore the history of Rensselaer County, outside of the museum. Deep dives, hot takes, and drinks for all!
