All proceeds from the event support organizational programs and services that reach more than 12,000 children and families each year.

Community Action Legacy Award | Karen E. Gordon
Karen E. Gordon has been a lifelong champion of Community Action. For nearly 40 years, Karen’s vision, advocacy, and leadership helped to create a strong foundation that resulted in expanded services and the creation of family resource centers across Rensselaer County. Her commitment to helping people achieve self-sufficiency has left a lasting impact and assisted countless individual's and families' lives in the community.
Spirit of Community Action Award | Leslie Cheu on behalf of The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation
Leslie Cheu & The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation's funding for the "What If..." Mini Grant program embodies the spirit of Community Action as it empowers residents to propose solutions that will have a long-lasting impact on their community. This initiative creates partnerships, opportunities, and engagement to meet identified needs within Rensselaer county neighborhoods.
