For fjerde gang presenterer vi denne fantastiske kanadiske artisten på Moskus! Med seg har han Kyle Sullivan. Han slipper nytt album i høst, som vi har fått smyghørt på. Det er bare å glede seg!
Det er en singer-songwriter av solid kaliber, med både rockefot og twang vi har med å gjøre. Daniel Romano har designet albumcover for ham, og han har turnert med artister som Ron Sexsmith, The Sadies, Fred Eaglesmith, Justin Townes Earle, Deer Tick, Jim Lauderdale, Dawes og Tift Merritt.
Canadian singer-songwriter Jerry Leger's latest release, Lucky Streak, is a live-in-the-studio album produced by Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies.
It includes solo acoustic re- recordings of songs throughout Leger's body of work, presented the way they were written or the way they've evolved.
Lucky Streak follows Leger's Mark Howard (Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Willie Nelson) produced record Donlands. Released on Cowboy Junkies label, Latent Recordings, Donlands was greeted with rave reviews from UK's Uncut Magazine and Rolling Stone Germany.
Jerry toured those parts of the world in support of Donlands as well as select Canadian dates. These performances included his debut on the historic Massey Hall stage in Toronto and shows opening for legendary artist Steve Earle.
One of the most respected singer-songwriters around, Ron Sexsmith says, “Leger has that spark in him that all the great songwriters have. He's the real deal.”
