Join us for this voice workshop with singer Sainkho Namtchylak at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum! Sainkho is a legendary avant-garde vocalist from Tuva, known for her otherworldly range, throat singing mastery, and fearless improvisation.

What I would like to share with you now?
People sing. People sing to share feeling. People sing to cary
their feeling and their meaning of reality. I am singing to share
my feeling of reality, to share my melodies and sounds of
improvisation through my songs with audience, with listeners.
Now with the kind support of festival, I am having a great
opportunity to share my feelings about singing, to share my
songs and melodies with people who has interest in learning
about how Sainkho Namtchylak is singing? What is the secret
of her special way of singing or using method of “silent
screaming”? .
So, we have a great possibility to hold a 2 days workshop 17-18th of October, 3 hours to sing together, to learn to improvise, to share the sounds, to share overtone singing, hoomai and many other techniques like technique of “silent screaming”, technique of breathing and holding your own, unique way of sound.
